Beating 3000 people online for $1k or beating 260 people offline for 30K?
What is more accomplishing to you: beating a larger field for a smaller cash payout or beating a smaller field for a large payout?
Personally, even though you get less money, I feel beating a field of 3000+ is much more satisfying that winning a small field. If you ever have the opportunity to beat a 3000+ field at any stakes then in my books, you are a good player.
Which would you feel more accomplished with?

live event for sure.
online, people are so much more inclined to spew off their chips to you, firstly because they dont get the embarrasment of jamming into the nuts, secondly, they can always start up another game in 5 minutes.
in a 3k runner tourney, you need a lot more luck to win it, but i dont think there is much of a skill difference

Interesting topic, Trishan. I would say the live tournament for sure...
In a live tournament you need to stay sharp, watch for tells and really pay attention to what is going on around you, moreso than an online tournament. Live play is also more mentally draining than online play (for me anyway!)
There is also the endurance side of things... look how long the GF took to play out? Two days! I would assume that a 3000 player online tourney would be alot quicker than that, considering that you play more hands per hour?
So with that in mind I would say I would feel more accomplished winning the $30k in the live tourney

Re: Which would you feel more accomplished with?
is it the number of runners or the time the tourney takes
I mean, the 3000 runner tourney might take 6 or 8 hours tops
the tourney on the weekend was 20hrs or something
that was the biggest thing for me not the number of people I out lasted but the duration i was able to hang on.
Just a different point of view

Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

I suppose it should read
Would you rather the ability to win either
(a) 3000 runner online tourneys
or
(b) 260 runner live tourneys with 10x first prize payout over online.
Regularly!.
Now which would you choose.

Whichever one doesn't let me play naked with food on my lap, or playing hands whilst on the toilet.
