i hate poker sometimes.

thats no joke, 4 times today i have got it in on the turn with 80% equity or more to lose.

i would have been in the top 10 chips stacks as well

Once you flat the flop you can't really fold from there so did you think about shoving 3 betting all-in?

Was looking good for a reasonable run, 30K odd at 200/400, but proceeded to lose two or three large pots (QQ < A9 etc etc) to be unceremoniously dumped from the tourney

Haven't played online for quite awhile now - might have a run again tonite.

on the flop, it just looked weak, like a draw, so i decided to peel a card

then on the turn, he INSTA_SHIPPED within like a microsecond. if he actually had a hand, he isn't doing that.

so with the flush outs as well, i figured it was a pretty easy call.

and then he 5 outers me.

i really do hate poker sometimes. that was 5 hours work for 10 bucks LOL

$8.80 tourney with almost the same structure (start stack 2K) is kicking of in ten minutes

Yeh - you just got to ignore the fact that you won $10 and think about the experience you gain. I am reading a book now called the Talent Code which says you only become a master at a something after 10,000 hours of deep practice.

Also you got your money in ahead and I think so long as you do get your money in ahead, you shouldn't be too worried about results.
