200kmph??? you are talking out your bum sir. i can hit a tennis ball 160-170kmph, and there is no way a hockey ball travels faster than a tennis ball. more dangerous for sure, but certainly not faster.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

Re: Dream Team Melbourne Weekend
however you put it, hockey is a girly game. sorry krunchie. and i really do struggle to believe they will get anywhere near 200km/h. please show me evidence of this and i am happy to be proven wrong
i am proud to say that i play tennis, you probably say thats a girly game too, its just the way it is.
hockey was what all the weird kids play instead of footy
edit: yep, i am with matthew in calling BS on that one
(PS if matthew can serve 170, i can serve 185
)

Re: Dream Team Melbourne Weekend
How fast does a golf ball go?? It has to be faster than a tennis ball right?? Aren't Hockey balls like big over grown golf balls???
I'm a bit on the fence here, I can agree with Krunchie about the speed, but the Macca's do have a case with the whole girlie angle!!!
Oh and looking forward to Melbourne, just read that 1 in 32 get the WSOP package so am PUMPED!!!!

Re: Dream Team Melbourne Weekend
the fact that it is bigger and heavier makes a huge difference.
macca, krunchie and i have been arguing over msn, we have worked out that golf is around 250-300 km/h, tennis 200 odd, hockey, 160 odd, same with cricket.
in terms of reaction time, hockey is probably faster
