Those tables look orright, but that workshop is killer. Looks a bit different than the carpark of the Blue Gums eh?

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Make your own poker table
Cheers Pete, I know you guys are enjoying Mondays out at the Blue Gums, but not as much as I am enjoying Hawaii.
Went out Marlin fishing today.
Didn't catch any marlin, I did catch some big funkin fish, forget what it's called right now, got it right to the boat, but as luck would have it, it got off the hook as we were about to hit it with the gaff.
But I'm taking it.
I ended up catching a mackeril to use as live bait, but that fish didn't attract jack, but it was still a great day out.
Nice knowing a bloke with a boat let me tell you.
The whole day cost me $30 for lunch!
I might have to create a Hawaii thread so you can all see what I'm up to.
Good news is I have another home game on Friday night after Thanksgiving.
I'm bring a pavlova to Thanksgiving and bringing my footy, gonna try and show these yanks a real game and bring a touch of Aussie to Thanksgiving!
Stay tuned folks!

Re: Make your own poker table
hey dudes,
i am about halfway through building my poker table at the moment. i started it a few days ago, and its looking awesome. I have adapted (read used) the designs from this site
http://www.gotalk.net.au/sapop/
and they seem to be working.
If you stick exactly to the materials that he uses though, it will get expensive, so i have made a few changes, particularly with the foam
when i finish, ill post pics and a full costing of what i used.

Re: Make your own poker table
Hey Guys,
i have posted a couple of pics of my poker table.
i am absolutely stoked with the result. i would recommend building your own to anyone that knows how to use a jigsaw and a staple gun.
I reckon all up it cost around 300 bucks, but my dad had some high density foam laying around at home that we used for the rail, so this cost will have to be factored in on top.
All in all, it was thoroughly rewarding. just be prepared to lose your mind the first time someone spills a drink on it!!!
