Garth what percentage of the 187 player were direct buyin as opposed to those winning their seat via the sat events.
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

From personal experience I would say 80 of the 187 satellited in. So about 57% bought in.

Hi Garth, just a quick one my question was b4 it got hijacked and went some where else was with the main event is there any chance we could look at finding a way for a earlier finish. it may attract more runners as people that work on sundays like myslef lol could still get some shut eye in b4 work.
And the other question was why does 888 not have a hand for hand system in place with the money bubble. just found it wierd when all other sites do and 888pl do in live venues??
sorry for the questions being lost but hey what can you do when everyone has something to say..
cheers for your time mate.

Read like three posts above for the answer to your first question :D The blind levels will be made shorter to ensure an earlier finish.

I think somebody answered your second question too. "Hand for hand play" is not a feature of the current 888 software at all, so it can't be changed for just 888pl events without a change to the overriding software.

I know im not garth so probably shouldnt be answering questions in this thread :D, but these were easy ones.

Yeah I can certainly modify the structure, but the main event will always go for at least 8 hours. I will not waver on that; a Main Event needs to be a testament to the character of the winner as well as the skills. When you win one you need to feel emotionally, mentally and physically drained so you can declare yourself as the ultimate victor, because you just didn't beat all of your opponents, you beat yourself and the exhaustion and managed to defy the mental brain farts that come with concentrating for so long over a period of time.

Winning a main event is as much about stamina, character, mental and emotional balance as it is about the skills and poker knowledge you have at your disposal.

Does that make sense?

As to the 888 Hand for hand rules? Meh...... What can you do, it has taken them over 10 years to make this massive jump forwards (with poker 6) and I have mentioned H4H before to them, but in the long list of user experience defeciencies H4H is only a small priority right now.

was just putting the question forward to garth as he did ask "what was the question again " i did see he put on there we could change the blind levels and with the second question it was just a matter of why is 888 the only site that doesnt have hand for hand structure and could it be addressed if we think we need it??
these are questions for garth by the way...not trying to be rude
cheers
