By the way, suited cards increase the chances by 2%, apparently.

I always found a particular comment by a friend very interesting
In essence it said...
"It is no use having a grudge against cards, they are objects and therefore will never have anything against you"
In my heart I know that is true, but I just know those damn Jacks have it in for me... lol

Ah, but in poker, you aren't just playing the odds/cards. So having something for the cards might just help you sell that bluff. Just a thought anyway

Ah, but a bluff isn't what you have, but what someone else thinks you have. If you have trouble selling, don't bluff

That can be true, no doubt.
I often believe that tables have flows, or cards that for some reason will often rear their suited heads and say hello.
One night I was on a table and kept being dealt the [As] and continued to play it.
I won every hand with it.
Got moved to another table, never saw that card again, never saw anyone win with high cards for that matter and could have gone downhill quickly.
Now if I had developed a particular liking for that [As] then I would have lost everything really quickly. Instead I sat back for a few hands and watched the flops and flow of the table.
It was the best move, I made it to final table.

I think we're on the same page there David.
If people wanna have "special" hands, who am I to argue math with them, just don't sit there and try and tell me they hit more often, and that is why you are playing them! (note: not directed at you David).
I have no issue with people making long calls, just be honest about it!

Re: What's Your Favourite Poker Hand??
I have no problem with favourite hands. I just have a problem when a players play can vary significantly because of it, of an illogical nature.
Once, at Studio 89, I went all in, short stacked, with pocket Queens. I was called by K 3 off suit. Three outs, and they hit.
When they turned it over, they said "I had to call, it's my favourite hand".
Now this is a situation where I HATE people having favourite hands. Play is altered significantly because of some lucky number, or a hand they won years ago, or whatever reason they come up with.
I won my first tournament in the NPL with K 10, and I still look at it with rose coloured glasses at times, but I never ever overplay it, or treat it as gold. Never.
