You're a Bunch of Factors

I've been told many times by benny the cunt that he can read me. He may not be exact, but most of the time he's spot on, he tells me. And I have to agree with him, he does read me well. Thought it'd be interesting to provide some of tonight's highlights, though.

Blinds: 50/100. Dealt QJ suited, no 3 - everyone calls before me. I have 800, I call. 6 callers (including benny the cunt), BB min raises, everyone calls. Big pot.

Flop: Q 5 6. Everyone checks round to me, I push for 600. Everyone folds and I take the pot.

benny the cunt: "There is no way you hit on the flop, NO WAY you had the Queen. He had Ace high."
JD: "I reckon he had the Q."
benny the cunt: "No, no way."

Blinds: 300/600. Dealt KK, in SB. benny the cunt calls, UTG. Folds round to me. I raise to 1200, BB folds and benny the cunt calls.

Flop: A 5 6. I check, so does benny the cunt.

Turn: 8. I bet 1200, benny the cunt folds.

benny the cunt: "What'd you have, 7s? You had 7s."
Me: "Yeah."
benny the cunt: "I knew it."

To be fair I did lie about having 7s, but I wanted to see how sure benny the cunt was on his read. Then again, if I say I had 7s, he should expect me to have had 7s. But, then again AGAIN, screwing with benny the cunt is fun I did take a long time to raise - and the min raise was meant to look weak.

I don't know why I'm posting this topic - don't mean to give benny the cunt any shit or make him look bad, he is a great player, and 70% of the time, he does have a correct read on me (how you read my KK at your house, I'll never know). But its 2am and I'm sleep deprived

Anyone else think benny the cunt can read me (or anyone else) quite well? I don't have anymore specific examples, but there's been a few times when I've had the winning hand, took down the pot and you've put me on nothing/something completely different, benny the cunt. So watch yourself

Don't let him know he's off his reads a little... let him think he can read you and then take all his chips. I know you guys are mates, but theres no friends in poker.

And you can't make friends with salad either.

to be honest aaron, i did get those couple wrong last night, but you would have to say most of the time my read on you is pretty good.

i never claimed to read you every single time - i think my read is my strength, and is pretty good on most people, including you

i can remember one night at the willo when i picked pretty much every that you had correctly, and since then i have just tried to put you off your game by saying that i can read you like a book.


but in reality, you're too good a player for me to read you every hand - even if i say i can

To be honest, with those few times that you're WAY off the mark, I know that you can't read me too well, so I'm not put off my game at all

Tip for all B&G players (this is secret information that i am only revealing cos it would be SOOOOO funny if benny the cunt finished 7 again).

Regardless of how benny the cunt actually reads a player, he will often say to someone 'i reckon you have nothing, or Ace high', not because he thinks they do, but because if people actually have a good hand (like QJ with top pair) then they are more likely to show their cards to confirm or contradict his actual read on the player. He just might be only slightly smarter than he looks.

lol i think i was 1 of 7 that went to uni from krapunda high that year (out of about 60), and i think maybe 3 or 4 actually finished!

in my year, there were about 25 or 30 that went into uni, i know of 3 or 4 that finished! (and i aint one of em!)
