You're a Bunch of Factors

hey guys

just wanted to know if anyone on here ventures to skycity and play 2skittles/3skittles no-limit?

me and a couple of mates head down there prob once a month, do quite well besides a bad beat last week, get dealt pocket kings, short stack goes all in for 40 skittles so i raise all in 100 skittles cause i have had bad luck with the kings, suprisingly i get another caller with a,q and he happens to river the ace, short stack has pocket 3s

what do u think of the quality of poker there compared to NPL? i find its a lot more aggressive with not many calling stations, if u wait for a good hand u usually get paid off

here is an explanation of my last venture to the casino

to the contrary steve, the night i went there i found that there were LOTS of calling stations.

because i won a pot early and had about 150 in chips, i became the agressor and regularly got paid by raising big. i was getting hands like 10J or AJ on the button, and raising them, and getting callers with much worse.

yeah they were ready to hand their chips over, but then just did it by calling big bets with top pair etc when they were behind

And I am most probably one of those drunks. I do like to throw cash away

same, i always seem to end up on the poker tables with a skinfull.

lol the three or 4 times i have actually been there sober, i reckon i have won way more than i have lost, but the drunk times mean i am probably still down overall

My golden rule, which I always break because I have rubber arms, is to not even bother playing there on a Friday or Saturday night. It's just a joke.


I'll give the wed night skittles tourney a go in the not too distant future though.

Friday & Saturday is the best time to play. The players are worse on average and its easier money, and a lot of it too for that matter!

My only time playing at "that" establishment I was certainly one of those worse than average players. Bought in for 60, got up to like 110 (luck), and then flopped jacks full of aces. Hmmm. Was too pissed to consider he had flopped quads. Whoops.


I also plan to play a Wednesday night there shortly - that is the freeze out one? Can someone give me a run down of the stacks and blind structure?

2500 starting stacks on a Wednesday. Not sure on the exact blind structure.
