As far as the interstate trip!!!!!Well all intensions were to play Crown for 4 days, that fell over due to my yougest wanting to buy his first home. So, we stayed home that week to see how much it was gonna cost us to get him out of the house!!!
The following week was Kiama 2 hours south of Sydney. Only played the one cashy at Albion as the other clubs were Freerolls and I never made it to Sydney.
Next was the most disappointing week of the whole trip away when we went up the coast to Tweed Heads. Rain, rain, more friggin rain and then floods. To top it off when I went to Jupiters for a day on the felt there were only 2 friggin tables running which were full with regular punters and no tourneys till Sunday???
Couldn't get onto the New England Hwy due to the floods and we needed to be back in Adelaide by Monday so we had to leave Friday head up the coast to Ipswich and come back down inland to miss the flooded towns making it a 360klm detour.

All was well UNTIL we were just coming into the 80k zone at Paringa just outside Renmark when we seen this lovely little 5 foot joey hopping accross the road.
So, I decided to be extra careful and slowed down to around 60ks when it's stupid friggin brother who was behind a bush decided to hop right in front of us. I hit the skids the ABS worked a treat and had there been another 2 feet I wouldn't have hit him.
It's amazing how much damage can happen at such a low speed at point of impact. Unfortunately, the roo was a gonner and so was the front of the Fords grille, bonnet, radiator etc which was leaking. Limped into Renmark and bought a 20ltr bottle of drinking water and some Wynns stop leak. Diddn't need the water as the temp was good all the way home even at the correct speed limits.
