Ok people's
Waikerie club game last night
7 person table.
blinds 200/400
3 limpers, big blind checks (leaving 200 only in his stack)
flop comes, big blind throws his 200 in and anounces "all in"
the next player anounces "call"
What should this call be
1/ call the all in 200
or
2/ call the min bet 400
Also what is the min raise in this situation.
Someone clarify a rule for me Please.

This is my understanding. They can flat call 200 and a min-raise is to 600.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

Re: Someone clarify a rule for me Please.
NO, a call here is for 400, as that is the minumum legal bet, unless the fisrst caller himself/herself had less than 400....
A legal raise pre or post flop is always the amount of the previous bet, in this case the BB, so a legal raise is 400. if allin player only had 600, any callers must still put in 400...
If there is only one caller, then they get 200 in change back...
Think: min bet to begin with is the BB? just cos a player cant meet that doesnt change anything, min bet/call is BB, minraise is 2x BB.

Re: Someone clarify a rule for me Please.
There are usually four or five different opinions on this action. The main points of contention are - does the extra 200 re-open the betting? Does the 200 constitute a legal raise in tournament play?
There is another one (at least) thread about this scenario. Not answering the call amount question, but in regards to the re-raise issue - any player that has already acted, CANNOT re-raise. Since the raiser has raised to an amount that is less than a standard min-raise, action has not re-opened.

Re: Someone clarify a rule for me Please.
scott the topic is about a flat from someone with 1.5bb who then leads this 0.5BB bet
what is a min raise? and how much is it for others to call

The last line asked what a min raise would be. I was pointing out that any player who has already called, cannot raise.

Re: Someone clarify a rule for me Please.
Actually, I mis-read the OP.
But I don't see what him having 1.5BB pre flop has to do with the post flop action. All that matters is the amount he has post flop.
