I managed to get Silver Star status today on Pokerstars. There doesn't seem to be many benefits but one of the things I like is having those two little stars on my avatar. However when I take a seat I cannot see my own stars. Why is that?
I can see other peoples stars.
Also why do some people have 1 star representing bronze yet other don't and supposedly everyone is a bronze star?

Go to Cashier, VIP Status options. You have the option to turn your own status on or off at the table. As do other players.

turn it off man
no reason for other people to know you play a lot, it just means they will pay attention more when they play you, i know i certainly take more notice of silver star players because i know they are more likely to be better.
quite often i wont sit at a table with gold star or above, especially if they have position, because you know there are better tables to take ur money.

Play more now that you have Silver status, you get 1.5 FPP's whilst at this rank where you would normally get 1 FPP. (if that makes any sense

)
