So the opening event of the Aussie Millions kicked off yesterday with Day 2 currently running. I know two people from the league playing the event: Roy and Pundies. DT members will fly from Adelaide soon. International players will be landing shortly. These are exciting times.

For those playing please post updates here.

Like a kid waking up on Christmas morning, the wait was finally over for the 327 players who took to the felt of the Crown Poker Room this evening as the 2010 Aussie Millions was officially underway. The first event of the schedule was the $1,100 No Limit Holdem event with the first opening flight bringing a healthy field as sights are firmly set on a 1,000+ player field and million dollar prize pool.

A new area of the Crown Poker Room was open for the first time in a major poker championship as an additional 12 tables located near the PokerPro tables put the capacity of the room to around 70 tables, enabling large scale tournaments to be hosted in the Crown Poker Room with ease. The new tables were certainly put to the test as several big name players found themselves seated there including the likes of Emad Tahtouh, Tony Hachem, Eric Assadourian, Mitch Carle, Jonathan Karamalikis, Aleks Brkovic, Toothpick Tony, Dean Nyberg, Matthew Pearson, Jarred Graham and one particularly tough opening table that included Ben Delaney, Billy Sukkar, Manny Stavropoulos, Daniel Neilson and Chris Chronis.

While the cream of the local talent were in attendance, we were also treated by the company of many International guests including DeucesCracked instructors Vanessa Selbst and Jay Rosenkrantz, as well as James Akenhead, Josh “JJProdigy” Field, Richard Ashby and JP Kelly.

Late into the evening and the field had been reduced to around 140 players with still three more levels to be played for the night. Ben Delaney was the chip leader, but had just lost most of his chips to local player Xen Xenofontos with flush over flush. Others near the top of the chip counts included Marc Des Anges, Vanessa Selbst, Tony Hachem, Sherif Derias, Emad Tahtouh, Paul Taylor, Mick Matthews and Nick Haidaris.

from my knowledge there isn't a 3rd flight tomorrow, it's a repecharge and you can only play it if u entered either day 1 a or b. Could be wrong but my hair had magical powers beyond belief so I doubt it :)

After 7 hours, I am out.

2's took out my J's by hitting a set on the flop.

Was fun, now I want to win this Phase 3 on Monday so I get to play during the AM's again.
