The 24h Cash Game Idea - added FB event

For reference, my latest FB status:

Aaron Kleemann wants to have a 24h cash game with prop bets, prizes for completing the entire 24h. Max buyin 200bb. Thinking a rotating roster could work. Want to have it liveblogged also. Like this if you would be interested in participating/railing.

Yes, this is partially inspired by the Party Poker Big Game, but its an idea that a few of my mates and I have discussed before, seeing now if I could actually get this off the ground or not. I realise that a lot of you have work/no desire to play for 24h straight, but the only way these things get started are if someone brings the idea to the table :D

So yeah, discuss away. I like the idea of prop bets to keep the hours ticking by, prizes for competing the entire 24h stretch. Is 200bb enough? Rebuys will be allowed obv. Maybe we can institute a 20m break every 5 hours or so.

I'm in!

Sounds like a great promotional idea.

Stakes??

We can get a venue to host it if possible, live streaming to the net, blogged and everything.

How about we make it a 2/5NL game. Host it after or before the GF in Melbourne and players can win their way onto the table via promotions and a player vote.

We could even work the DREAM TEAM into it.

I love this idea.

It was more a home game idea Garth, I won't find enough people I know willing to play 2/5 NL. I would assume that the majority of 888pl players would be shortstacking that event too. It'd depend if they were serious or not about it though, willing to put 3-5 buyins on the line.

I think for a home game 25/50c or 50c/$1 works. I really don't see getting a game together with anything higher. But feel free to use the idea for something from 888pl if you wish.

I should probably add while the idea was mine, it doesn't have to be at my place.

Of course if it was I would spend a few days making the shed worthy :D

So you wouldn't be interested if 888PL provided 3 buyins ($1800), airfares and accommodation ($700) in Melbourne and have it live streamed to the website?

I am thinking of a serious cash game where x amount of players can win their seats via a promotion, x amount win their seats through a player/TC vote and then we leave x amount of seats available for direct buy in.

I'd also maybe like to put a State of Origin slant on it.

I like this idea, good one Aaron!

Well this is different :D

I like the player/TC vote idea.

Good way to get 888pl players moving up those tiers to higher buyins too.
