Feels like nothing is going my way :(

Just of late, it feels like I'm not doing so well in poker. Just feels like no matter what I do, nothing works. I guess it's just one of those downswings you have, but yeah just doesn't feel like things are going my way. Went to the casino today, was there for 6 hours and was so card dead

Did not see AK, AQ, AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT. And whatever half decent hand I went in with, it either didn't hit, or in some rare cases it did but I had the 2nd best hand/. Ahh anyways, I suppose things will get better. Lol theres actually no real point to this, just felt like sayin it.

You will often find threads on this forum that state exactly what your saying.
I think I even posted the same type of thread and got some really good advice about ways to combat this feeling.
Personally, I am trying to learn to use these times as a chance to evolve and change my playing style.
I wish I had the same sage advice that I get everytime someone helps me, but the best you can do is not give in and just remember everyone of us has been through this at some point or another.
I guess this leads me to ask the guru's, this is one of those cases where you need to learn to embrace the variance?

Yeah this is true, I think I need to tighten up my playing style to some degree. Over time I have become very loose aggressive I am overvaluing my hands. Need to go back to 'abc' poker i think...
Before anyone says anything in regards to this, I am not new to poker. I understand it to great depth, I am not saying however that I know everything. I'm always learning and am eager to keep learning. I have done quite well in poker thus far, however just of late I feel as if my poker playing isn't showing positive results. As "Nevah play JJ" stated, perhaps I need to re-think my playing strategy.

Mate, everyone goes through those patches, but yeah, it seems you need to tighten up a little if you lost that much without having any of the starting hands you mentioned above. I would suggest tighten up, wait till you start running good again (it WILL happen), then loosen up a bit...

Sometimes its good not to get premiums........
Last night, $2/3
EP raise $15
MP Calls $15
ME (KK) Raise $75
LP calls
EP & MP folds.
Flop 668
To cut a long sad story short - all the money goes in - he rolls 6 8.
$300 down the toilet to a true F-wit

And the list grows...
1. old man Swanky KK < 86 ('but they are suited') @ SA Semi
2. JMack JJ < 86 @ SA Semi
3. gmatical KK < 86 $2/3 for $300
All pushed hard at right times and all got the wanted retarded calls only to get shafted, unlucky chaps!!

On the 1/2 tables at Crown not long ago lost a $200 pot with QQ v JJ and A10. Even facing too all-in raises, guy with A10 calls and hits an ace...horrible.
