http://www.ashtoncartwright.com/2011/06/12/jacky-wang-ripped-off-in-npl-500/I have never been so disgusted in my life, and I plan on helping Jacky retrieve some compensation or remuneration for this absolute pathetic display of Tournament Direction and ruling.
I also think that the player who is trying to use a rule to win a pot when drawing dead should never return to a table ever! If he plays with 888PL or APL I will certainly be having a quiet word with him.
Downright disgusting work by a TD and terrible sportsmanship that is rewarded.

wow that is pretty incredible.
cant' believe that you could get it so wrong, especially in a tourney like that - its not as if it was some pub freeroll with inexperienced staff

Not Jacky's fault in the slightest, but he still allowed the situation to occur by creating the opening. If he says all-in, this situation can never happen.

Granted for that, but to kill a hand for exposing with action pending is absurd. Especially when intent is clearly obvious.
Even if intent wasn't obvious it would be; "play the hand out - then sit out for an orbit", at WORST.

I agree with benny the cunt that he should have just said all in.
But still, when i read this article yesterday, it blew my mind.
I'm glad it's getting the publicity it has. For a TD to not even know his own rules???
It once again goes to show why the 888 Poker League is the best pub poker league to play in.
All of the 888PL staff act professionally at all times, and they know their stuff.
It is exactly why they enjoy the respect they receive.

I agree with benny the cunt that he should have said 'ALL-IN' or ask the dealer for a count.
I never ask for an exact count from a player unless I'm only wanting to know an approx. amount and even then, I'm reluctant to do that.
In saying all that, the opponent is an absolute DISGRACE!!!!!!

I also wonder why a TD didn't make the count.
At this stage of a big tourny, if you were to ask for a count, a TD generally steps in to do the count.
And if a player asks for a count and the player being asked doesn't give an accurate count, where is his penalty?
