I am writing this because of the Counting Game thread, as a bit of a help for some, in case they are unaware of this function.
I am assuming here, but I guess some people are searching for an image in Google. Then saving that image to their computer, and uploading the image via the "add file" down the bottom.
To save you doing that, you can link to the image using the IMG button up the top.
Search away in google images.
Find best image.
Then click on "See Full Image" link at the top of the page
Copy the web address in the Toolbar (eg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... 32.svg.png)
Reply to thread.
Click the IMG button above
Paste the web address into the reply box, between the ] & [/img bits
This will save you both downloading the image, and uploading it. It also saves on 888plforum's bandwidth (I think).... and it was Rule 4 in the Counting Game thread.

Re: Posting an image without uploading from your PC
this will work for some pics bacon, but there is a slightly better method
instead of copying the web adress from the toolbar, right click on the image and select "copy image location"
this will grab the image from practically any site.
other than that, its great advice

Who the hell uses IE nowadays anyways? If you're a home user Mozilla is the way to go!!! Download today!
I have no understanding why code monkeys continue to build IT platforms around IE interfaces. It's freaking ridiculous!

Re: Posting an image without uploading from your PC
In IE you can right click and select Properties and copy source from there and place between IMG tags. Same as copy link location on FF.
I am not a code monkey but I do code and always test out all browsers. Stats show that 60-70% of users use IE over FF/Chrome/Safari. Also interesting that Australians have more readily taken up these alternatives than Americans.
IE also provides a little extra fuctionality for coders like the "exec" function in javascripot.

this is only because IE is the "native" browser, and it ships with W7. nothing more than that.

Yeh that's true. It's the reason why code monkeys use it as a primary test browser and the reason why if I have to make a choice between a website looking better in IE or FF, I always chosse IE and try to minimise the effect on FF.
