ahhh, that changes the story somewhat. to put your tournament life on a pair of 3's, bottom pair with a 10 kicker is just plain ridiculous. AQ might have had odds by then, but probably didnt understand what they were.

A pair often looks pretty to most people, no matter what it is.
You'll also have to take note that you still made a solid move and were well in front on the flop only to get burnt.
Also take a look at what was in the middle when you made the continuation bet for half of what the other players had remaining, what the blinds were at, and how much each player 'thinks' they've invested into the pot. You'll find a lot of players will think 'look at all I can win!' and if they've hit, it's a given they're in.
Bad luck is all I can say... oh... and you'll need to work on wha tyou think they might have because you were wrong on both counts
