I love it when I hear someone say, how can you call me with that, the board is flushing and straightening and you call off half your stack on the river? I was representing strength. Or how can you call my all in when I shove on that scare card?

Because no matter what the board reads or what your bets are saying sometimes we all make exceptional calls based on our reads, sometimes we make downright awful play based on our reads and get lucky.

To me, in that situation when you shove in position after a checked all round flop, I think it smells and calling with mid pair (especially on a rag board) is certainly a valid option. Especially when fold equity and your shoving range against a hit board comes into the equation.

What he said. This was my point.

It is a good point. But there is a difference between someone reading you and calling your bluff etc compared to someone calling without even considering the hand you're on. I could use an example here but I wouldn't want to offend anyone
If you've got luck...use it!
