lol dont be lazy

i like using the scroll wheel for bet sizing. works well, especially on tilt where u can click anywhere on the table and then scroll, not just on the bet slider itself.

Thats a reason why i personally don't like the 1/2 pot, and pot buttons. leads to less thoughtful play imo.

Yeh I think this is a good point - having to type in a specific amount for a bet forces you to think about the bet sizing with some precision - roundabout figures just won't do.

You know the other day I was thinking about live games and bet sizes - you have to round off (most often) to the nearest 25 unlike online. Do you guys think this makes much of a difference especially when the 25 and 100 chips are taken away. Do you think of a good bet size and the round up or down?

if you bet make it look impressive.

i.e 5 blacks instead of 1 purple

more chips makes it look scarier

Don't spread the chips, keep them in a stack, highest denominations on top.

If you have bet 775, and you have 7 x 25, 1 x 100 and 1 500. Looks more ominous with 500 on top.

Brain tricks FTW.

If I ever catch anyone doing this in a live event I will definitely make a comment about it.

It is poker etiquette as well as a general courtesy to the dealer to ensure you use the largest denomination chips as often as possible for your bets.

Brett if I find a table today that have players continually doing this then I will ensure you sit down and deal for them.
