More realistically, you bleed chips and get frustrated that things aren't going your way so you start playing -EV.

Bingo! This.

I definately play a big stack better than I used too. I do love the power of having lots of chips and in live games building pretty chip towers!

I also love the challenge of going into a heads up situation if my opponent has say a 4 to 1 chip lead on me. I am very satisfied if I can reel them in and take the win.

I think managing a large chip stack / lead is a weakness alot of people have. How often does the chip leader going into an FT actually win? I don't think as often as you might think. There is an added pressure that goes with that stack. The 'have to call' way of thinking. I like to be around 3 position going into an FT. It gives me a good amount of chips, I can see flops and that 'have to call' way of thinking doesn't effect my game.
Note to self: Fold Aces on the bubble.......

What is a big stack?
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

For sure, but are you willing to take marginally -EV risks early to get a big stack?? For most of, or your whole stack I mean... Probably not...

Every time we call a raise IP with hands like JTs or small pairs etc, we have a slight -EV, but we take it because sometimes we can stack someone if we hit the flop well... We also usually know exactly where we are on and after the flop, ie did we hit our set or draws (or a made hand)

I hope you don't mean you are calling just beacause you are the BS??

As benny the cunt said, I think putting them allin is usually more successful than calling them... or raise an amount that will potentially risk their whole stack (if they are paying attention that is)

What you usually see across the table in front of your brother in your home cashies :P
Image ...11.59% of bad beat stories are just misplayed hands ...
