Hahahaha.

One night at the wheaty Mike had a very healthy chipstack just before FT. He raised on the BTN with QQ, and the BB (some d*nk) shoves over the top. He INSTANTLY goes into the tank.

"Oh no, dammit, I know she has it, I know she has it."
"Has what?"
"Ace rag."
".... so why aren't you calling"
"Because she's going to hit it!"

Mike folds, and BB rolls A8o.

"See, told you!"

YOUR CHIPS HAVE TO GO IN AT SOME POINT, WHAT BETTER SPOT ARE YOU WAITING FOR. FURTHERMORE, ITS NPL, HOW CAN YOU FOLD QQ TO A RANDOM, EVER.

We probably shouldn't be picking on him, but he does open himself up to this by talking complete shit.

I remember lol'ing when he was trying to tell someone he trades on the stock market and that he's good at it.

Couldn't help noticing you were still sitting in the pub with us and playing free poker, Michael.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Haha that's just funny, poker paranoia to a new level. I don't know this guy "Michael" but I would just love to blind him out of tourneys with 2 3, 9 4, 10 3 etc etc by representing A rag. He is either one of the best gut instinct/crystal ball players out there or he has serious poker psychosis.

I play Ace Rag because its better than KK.

I'm guaranteed one of my 2 flush draws beats one of his too!

benny the cunt: what did you have?
Michael: an open ended straight draw
benny the cunt: what? that means you had 8
Michael: nah, i could hit it on the turn or the river, that makes 2

and my personal favorite

benny the cunt: something about a hand like quads or somesuch
Michael: i was playing at the casino the other day blahdy blahdy blah
Michael: "and they play for real money there"

Classics!
First one, I would have told him that meant every one always had 2 outs on the flop, so why is he bothering to consider outs! lol

Had the same thing discussing an OESD, guy said he only had 2 outs, the Q and the 7!
I said, ahhhh thats 8 outs mate... theres 4 of each in the deck! he replied, 'Well you know what I mean' and I said 'No I dont! thats not how u count outs!'
This is same guy who some ppl think is a good player, should go pro (I mentioned him in one of my 1st posts) and routinely tells me where to go when I talk poker with him sayin "Hey I outlasted YOU tonight!" roflmao!

I think another good question is why do ppl seem to like goin allin on a flush draw so much? And why ppl overvalue suited cards so often. Got busted at a FT buyin event like this. Folded to me. I had AJ and raised from LP, BB calls, flop is JJrag with 2 diamonds, I bet the pot (specifically to STOP him chasing) and he shoves over me, and of course completes on the river... well I had him covered slightly, but it crippled me down to 3BBs

I reckon also why ppl push with A-rag (not only in turbos) is on a steal. They dont really wanna call, but figure if they do get called atleast they can hit TP?? (not realizing the only hands that can call either have them dominated or are already well ahead.

I agree with u benny the cunt re the M=6 comment. when Im < 5 any hand with an Ace has me allin. Im not often < 5 and its usually from a stupid mistake of my own doing that put me there (or the allin flushdraw special!). Especially with antes, why wait around to get Blinded out? atleast bust out trying to make a move!

Because they are simple in the head and are only thinking about pairs, straights, and flushes.

i LOVE chasing flush draws if i know some idiot is going to stack off with top pair when i hit it

not saying you are an idiot, but there are lots implied odds situations where i will chase draws without getting the correct odds
