Just because it's dry?

You still have at least 1 other live opponent to try and take chips from so why would you rule it out 100% ?

Keeping in mind we're talking about a hypothetical which doesn't crop up very often at all, if the locked main pot is small and you, along with the other live opponent(s), have much larger chipstacks I see no reason to not attempt to build a larger overall pot for yourself - IF that's what you decide to do based on whatever other factors you wish to consider at the time.

I'm sorry but "the side pot is dry" just isn't a good enough reason to play differently, if that's the only reason present. It's equivalent to saying "I will check because I know you want me to" and if I know someone wants me to check in any other situation, damned if I won't be betting just to stick it up them :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Correct, but if you'll recall we're talking about something which would be uncommon to begin with - purely a "hey what about this scenario?" type question.

I'd say it's much more likely that you'd have an allin preflop for not a lot of chips than the type of dry side pot scenario which we are discussing.

I love the chat after some hands?

400/800, Krunchie all in BB for 455, CO calls, SB calls.

So there is 690 sidepot.

Flop K22, CO bets.

SB "Dry......?"
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

Bacon: haha yeah I've seen that a couple times now as well.

Someone else said it once so they felt the need to repeat it whenever they thought they could :)

benny the cunt: That's not unreasonable. Just depends what's happening at the time.
