I probably wouldn't.

No but AX has a lot more value playing in this league so if it were an 888PL game then Yes, a major MTT tourno would be a fold 100% of the time.

Ok I will say this for all parties involved on this forum.

If you want to rate yourself as a poker player then stop being so bloody results orientated, especially in free roll environments.

Did you extract the maximum possible value from your made hands?
Did you get all your money in good when you weren't an underdog?
Were your reads correct?
Did you size up your opponents adequately?
Did you control the pot?
Was your bet sizing correct?
And the number one rule and comment I have for all aspirational players, did you continue to make +EV plays?

What happens in one or a thousand hands is not an indication of how good the individual or the opponent is, if you continue to make the correct plays (+EV) then you will be a winning player over a mass volume of hands. Unless you run exceptionally bad and variance has decided to make you it's bitch.

Stop whining about bad beats and how weak the play is, adapt your style to your opponents, be happy to get in with the best of it and continue to make +EV plays.

And lastly if people offer you advice or give you some insight, don't argue about it, accept their advice or comments take it on board and move on or adjust your game accordingly. Who knows it might make you a better player.

....
Here's two hands from the foundation and challenge games today that proves the point:

Start Cards
Me: Ac Kd
Danshan: 7d 8d
BigMick110: Kh 10d

....

BINGO!

BigMick110 sucksout on crazy calls a lot, Ive seen him! Just tonight he did it to me:
Level 3: Blinds are 25/50 (what I would call early, it was only the 2nd flop I'd seen)
I raised from late position when it was folded to me with KQs 4BBs and he called from the SB.
(So about 400 in the pot)
Flop: QQJ with 1 club.
BigMick110 bets about 150 (cant remember exactly how much), I raise the pot to 500, he calls
Turn: some low card like a 5 or something, but putting 2 clubs on the board.
BigMick checks, I push .................... He calls
River: another club (cant remember rank)
He shows 5c6c!!!! Unbeleivable!

He then goes on to tell me I'm a dumb kid and should learn how to play poker like a 'man' (Im 37 btw) in the chat box, when I asked him how he could possibly call my bets with his cards.

Talk about bingo!
And this was a buyin event, not a freeroll!
I sorta understand ppl doin crazy stuff in the freerolls, but you would expect a higher level of play in the buyin games (ie respect for a raise, then shove with QxQcJx5c)
Makes me think of those (stupid) Allin 'tournaments' on 888.com where every player is allin every hand until there is only 1 left! I mean, what kind of dumb idea is THAT?? and it can hardly be called a tournament!

I agree 100%, especially the nature of the 'short-stack turbo' 888pl venue games.
Sometimes ppl are so pissed you hardly get in 1 orbit of the button per level...

I mainly play the (now away) events to:
a) Socialize with other pokerholics
b) Hopefully make state finals or other (FTT) larger tourneys with bigger stacks.

So many ppl final table, or even win an event and start thinkin they are great players.
I have mixed results at these events (but better than average i would say), but have been makin a fair amount over the past 2 years both online and at the casino (cash games and tourneys), and if I try to discuss poker to help someone out, whatever, they usually dismiss me based purely on my performance at the weekly away game! - "Don't be tellin ME how to play when I lasted longer than you tonight".
(I still shudder to think that some ppl think a cash game is a tournament for cash! Seriously SO many players havent even heard of ring games, and a few I have spoken to actually can't even see the point to them!)

One guy at my regular away event (who is considered a good player there by most, TD included) started also playing at another (name witheld) game which was a $10 buyin event, and was talking about how it has improved his game, specifically talking about slowplaying hands. So now, he limps in with AA (seen him do it 3x now). Now I tried to explain that there is no such thing as 'slowplay' preflop, and why its dangerous to limp with AA (or any big pair, AK etc) but he just couldnt get it! I also tried to explain to him, that unless the board is VERY uncoordinated, AA is NOT a hand to slow play... like you need to flop a set or better to slow play (even a set is iffy). Tried telling him you only slow play when your hand is so strong that you want your opponent(s) to improve so you can hoipefully take them for their whole stack. He also in the course of our conversations said he didnt understand 'all this position stuff'! And like I said, he is considered a decent player at this venue (which does have some good players) a few ppl even encourage him to play for a living... ROFLMAO

But... in games for money, we need people like this to fill up the MTT to give bigger prizepools.
