Doesn't this mean that our shove has even MORE fold equity? I still like a shove here.

In fact, quite the opposite. shoving becomes better on the bubble because the calling ranges of the other players are a lot tighter because of the bubble factor, so you will pick up the dead money so often its not funny.

just did the ICM calculations then

if villains call with 55+, A8s+,ATo+, KQo,KQs, or roughly 11% of hands, then everyone will fold here 70.1% of the time, and we can shove with A8o+, KTo+, QTo+, J9o+, T9o+, 22+, 56s+, 57s+, 68s+, T7s+, J7s+, Q7s+, K4s+, A2s+ for this to be profitable

if the players only call 7.5% of the time we can shove any 2 cards
if they call wider at 15% of hands then we can shove 22+, A9o+, KQo+, JTs+, A7s+

All true, but remember this is an 888pl online game, and I think I have alot more experience playing these than you do. You WILL generally get called here (I would like to know if Steve or Lisa would have called if short stacked Dave didn't), and you are only just better than 50% to win at best.......

we have all played our fair share of 888pl here, and these tourneys are no different in statndard to similar buyin tourneys on 888, trust me.

for this to start to become -EV, villains need to be calling with J9, T9, K5s, hands like that, which they basically never do imo.

also, our equity against a typical 11% calling range when they call is only 40%, BUT everyone folds an incredible 70% of the time, so we can pick up the dead money so often its not funny, and even when we do get called we are only sometimes dominated.

sometimes going through the theory can tell you something that your intuition lacks.

it is still unlucky to lose to a runner runner, but that doesn't mean either player did anything wrong.
