after the flop, if the other player raised your bet over the top all in, what would you have done?

He would've called.

fair enough, everyone takes a hammering like that. some guy called my 500 bet when the blinds were 100-200 and he only had 875 left with 67 once, and hit his 6 on the turn to take out my cbet on the A10

lol shaun at least you didn't think he had folded and so you threw the winning cards into the muck and tried to take the chips

Haha...i was kinda thinking afterwards when it came to the showdown, to ask him if he could beat Trips...try to get him to muck n say na i couldnt and when he did...i woulda said, neither could i, but i have a pair of kings...and with him mucking his cards, i woulda taken the pot...gonna try that sometime n abuse the system

Do not ever misrepresent your hand, especially if it is intentional.
If I was the TD in those circumstances, and knowing you have made the comment about this previously; I would kill your hand and award the pot to your opponent or any live player still left in the hand.

If you think about it though Kleeman, most of the time you lose a pot is through errors of your own. Whether it's not folding earlier or not betting enough, it usually comes down to a mistake on your behalf. Bit like going all in with two pair, aces and nines versus a boat.

Still not sure I understand the ruling as to why you can't do that. I don't get how that isn't just part of the bluffing game?

Say for example if QQ9 is on the table and you want to bluff and say you have a Q in your hand, but the other player who says nothing has QQ in their hand?

Wouldn't that just show you up as being a shocking bluffer?
