If my wife requested a root bone, she wouldn't be getting money transfered!!

But seriously, cut him some slack - he did get to 3rd and CL for a time.

If he is a beginner, he will likely learn in his own time. More frequent stealing 3 handed may not have changed the outcome anyhoo.

Yeah but he is not a beginner and when I started playing he had been top five in the state leader board 3 times I think. He had been trying to talk me in to playing and I kept saying " I don't think I would like it". It was only when he referred to his domination on me at pool, billiards and darts and made the assumption that I was not playing poker because he would dominate me at that also that I decided to play. He is a good player live ( not great but good much better than me live). My reason for getting frustrated when he plays less than optimum is the fact that my bankroll goes down as I have to fund his games

This is how I read it.

A root bone is having someone railing you so you send them money as appreciation.

A root bone is having someone railing you ( root) and you cash well so you send them money ( bone) as appreciation.

I always send one to my husband if he rails and if I do well in a decent tournament will usually send on to those railing me ( although this is bank roll permitting and have not done one in a while). With my husband I usually send 10% but for all others is usually $5. I see it as good Karma, sharing the wealth.

I have done the same over the past couple of years, between some poker buddies, tends to go around and makes railing a lot of fun.

there is no way in hell that i am ever giving anyone else money just for watching me play.

my gift to repay them would be to rail them sometime.

tbh, unless you are god and winning craploads of money, giving away $5 or whatever is just silly, especially when this represents a significant proportion of a buyin for the tournament you are actually playing.
