Sucked out then got revenge @ Modbury

Righto, I'll set the scene.

Blinds were 300/600, I was SB, a lady by the name of Lauren was BB and said she was going all in blind (she still had about 4k left, but didn't really want to hang around), but then she said she'd let us see the flop before she went all in.

I get my hand:

[qd] [9d]

So I call, she checks.

Flop comes out:

[7c] [10h] [qs]

I check, she goes all in as promised. I figure there's bugger all chance she'd hit the straight on the flop, so I call her (I've got about 7.5k, so would be ok if she jagged a win).

So I flip mine over and reveal the pair of Queens (she hasn't turned over yet as she went in blind).

Turn card:

[jc]

Nearly got a straight now as well.

River card:

[10d]

I end up with 2 pair, Queens and 10s, surely that's enough to take it out?

She flips over first card:

[jd]

Two pair, Jacks and 10s, lovely I'm thinking

She flips over the second card:

[10c]

FULL HOUSE.

I was absolutely gutted! My revenge comes in the next post.

Dude

You took ME out last night the SAME WAY! (almost)

I had QJ and you had a 10 - straight on the river with a 9!
:( I had QQ JJ :/

Part II of an irregular series: REVENGE.

So I was down to about 3.5k and kept folding until I get:

[5c] [6c]

Was hoping to scare people off, so I raised to 2k.

Lauren goes all in (ouch), the couple of others who called the blind then folded, so it was a tasty looking pot.

I call all in, now or never eh?

She turns over:

[kd] [8c]

Flop, turn and river comes out:

[insert picture of 'can't remember, but it had a 6 in it and the rest was crap']

Needless to say, I was delighted.

Part III of an irregular series: I HATE FINAL TABLE POKER

I can't quite remember the scenario, but there were 3 of us left, I had ~40k and look down at:

[jd] [9d]

Now or never eh? All in.

Maria only had to call 12k (not sure how that works, because I'm pretty sure the blinds were 20/40, and I only had blue chips, so I've no idea where the 12 came from, could anyone shed some light on the situation?)

She was going to fold, but had been talked into calling me by pretty much everyone in the room but me

She calls and turns over:

[3s] [6c]

Why didn't you fold? *shrug*

Flop, turn, river came out:

[insert picture of 'can't remember but it had a 3 in it and the rest was crap']

Gawnsky, gutted once again! Some how I'm sitting 6th there now, so I'm happy with that (missed a couple of weeks, too!)

LOL i remember that night :D lauren should have done so much better if she actually wanted to play after getting a huge stack and yes 12 k wasnt much more for a monster chip stack on that final table n u had 2 yellow chips to make that 12 k call for her.

Ahh righto, thought I only had blues, makes enough sense now, although I still cannot understand why you'd deal a 3 on the board!
