I soon changed that
Blinds 300/600. I'm in the BB with AQ off. There are 5 limpers. I figure I'm taking this pot now, I raise all in for 5200 total. But before I do, this lady burns a card and shows the first card of the flop, a 3.
"What the hell are you doing."
"Ohh!!! Sorry I didn't see, I thought you were checking!"
"..."
Apparently when my arm was down, placing my chips, she thought that was a check
We call Suzie over and ask her what needs to be done, she said that the 3 gets placed back in the deck, the cards are shuffled and a new flop is shown. So while the lady is doing that, the table decides what they want to do. Brett, a mate of mine, UTG, calls. He has 5400, so if he loses this pot he's only got 200 left. I'm shocked, I figure I'm smashed, he has to have high pockets. Everyone else folds and I cautiosly ask Brett what he has.
He shows A2 suited. What the hell is he putting his chips into that pot for, with Ace rag? Furthermore, what does he put me on? I obviously have to, at least, have a higher Ace than he does. I never considered Brett to be a great player, but I had more respect for him than throwing his entire stack in with A2 suited, PREFLOP. I honestly thought he was better than that.
Flop: 10 2 A.
Get stuffed. I had the chance to counterfeit the hand (something I despise, but I would've taken it
When I was standing up, looking ultra dejected, and pissed, the lady that burned the card by mistake said the next card was a 10, and that "she would've won that because she had the flush." Goddamit, you think I care about that? You just screwed up and its your fault I got out. Ok, Brett could've hit the 2, or a flush, or the straight anyway... but damn, I felt jipped.
Then Shannon told me today that the cards didn't need to be reshuffled, the next two cards are shown and the 3 is put into the deck and reshuffled. Sigh.
I don't even think I want to go to the wheatsheaf next week.
