Hi there Todd and it was such a bad, bad, beat M8. If it helps in any way he continued to play every hand on the final table. And believe it or not, he won every one of them except for one.

He was truely kissed on the you know what by a fairy. I was in position one and he was in two and when the blind hit me $2k & $4k and I had K7 off. Flop comes a king rag rag and I decided to go allin with around $9k. He calls and hits an ace on the turn. :x

He was knocking us out one after the other. I jokingly asked him to stand up to see if the sun was shining out of his butt so I could see if it was gonna be a nice day tomorrow. :o

I'm not sure where I finished but I wasn't the first one out. Somewhere around 6th I think. It was a good night though even though there were only around 30 runners.

Dude... that is harsh. On the flop you would be thinking you had the ABSOLUTE nuts. You've got the nut straight, its a rainbow board...

The sick thing is though, you want Q5 and 45 calling, the chance they're going to win that hand (running cards) is so low that in the long run, you're going to see a huge profit (if you keep putting your money in with situations like that).

Bad luck Todd, but all you can do is put your money in good and hope for the best. 9/10 you will win that hand.

just because i am in the mood of calculating odds (THURSDAYITIS!! :P)

the chances of you losing that hand - runner runner board pair is the only way u are losing

runner runner 7 odds = 3/43 *2/42 = 6/1806
same for runner runner 8 = 6/1806
runner runner 5 = 2/43*1/42 = 2/1806

so add these possibilities together to get the odds

14/1806 = 1 in 129 or a 0.77% chance of you losing the hand from that position

The other night Roger G had a hand that went something like ...

K K (Roger) vs 10 10

The board came out 2 4 K rainbow, Roger bets, 10 10 goes all in, and Roger calls.

Turn 10 River 10.

My theory on hand odds.

I have 2 cards.

You have 2 cards.

50/50 chance, i call.
