suckouts of the century

Postby Tommo » Sat Aug 16, 2008 8:15 pm

OK i recorded my 3rd NPL win at the first Tuesday game at the willaston on tuesday night and my GOD did i get lucky.

1st hand of extreme luck:
I have [as] [10d] in the BB for 10k UTG min raises to 20k i call, Heads up
Flop [10h] [3d] [6d] he pushes all in, i think my top pair is good, i call
he turns over [kd] [kh] and i am well and truly behind until... [10s] on the rurn and a [ac] on the river.. that sorta set me up for the rest of the night

2nd hand:
3 handed im chip leader, in sb, BB all in blind, Utg calls i have [kd] [8h] i raise to 30k, UTG calls, flop: [8s] [6s] [10s] Utg checks, i push all in for 50k, UTG calls instantly she has [ac] [2s] thats right she called me with a 2 HIGH FLUSH DRAW!!!! anyway turn was [qs] and i was cut until... [7s] that was the best card i have ever seen in my life, so split pot and i go onto win the night, it was awesome

thats all from me tata

Nice to see Tommo. Some people think they can hit the river all the time. I bet she called purely on the ace and didn't even take the 2 of spades as a consideration to make the flush.

Unfortunately I've found that a lot of people in the B&G region are blinded by the sight of an ace in their hand and see it as a miricle card.

Replace "an ace" with "any two cards", and I think you're spot on, Bob ;)

So, true, but you must know "the ace is a miricle card when drawing on the river"

Always remember to thank your dealer, Tommo. You forget about the running 2s ;)
