Hand 1

Blinds 100/200 - Full Table of 8 players

In SB
My Hole Cards = Kc6c
My chip stack = 3500

UTG raises to 600

Folded round to me. I know this player, fairly decent tight player. I say "I am pot committed to call :roll: "

BB calls

Flop = 3 4 7 rainbow

ME check, BB checks, UTG bets 1250 (yep def. a pkt pair above the board)

I call - I mean I am pot committed AND i have a gut shot :D

BB calls (WTF - what have you got???)

Turn = 5

ME = ALL-IN
BB = ALL-IN
UTG looks at us, and looks and looks and eventually CALLS

ME = Kc6c
BB = 6h6d
UTG = 88

Well UTG was heaps crabby, but it was simply beautiful. I felt so empowered ;) ;) :lol:

Except for the part where I had to share it.....I mean how often do I get to suck out, :D

I don't understand how you shared, the BB had 2 straights!

Pocket pair = 2 straights, unsuited cards = more chance at flush.

Yep, I managed to pull the wool over his eyes!!

How smart am I!! I got away with 50% of the pot instead of splitting it 33 - 67% !!

I had one the other night that triples me and sent me to the final table.

Im UTG+1, stack 3500, blinds 300/600

Im dealt AK, i raise to 1500, get two callers.

Flop, J, 7, 4

I bet 1000, one guy folds, the other guy insta-raises and puts me all in.

I know im most likely behind but i have to call, Huge pot.

Guy shows A J and im dominated.

Turn, T

River, Q

AND I TAKE IT ALL, after all the bad beats, its the first suck-out i have delivered in a long time.

Felt really good too.

i had a good one last night

blinds are 1K-2K i have about 10:, i am in the SB, with Q9 off. folds around to the button who as 6k in total and flat calls, and the BB checks and leaves himself with 1K more (not sure why he didn't push, but meh)

flop comes J9X

so i have middle pair, but i didn't think it was worth betting at this stage, as both players were short stacked, and i wanted to see what they would do.

so i check, and both players quickly check as well - ok, so my 9 looks ok here.

turn comes a K. i decide to lead out for 3K - i figure if they don't have a K, then i am good.

well BB reluctantly throws his chip in, and dealer insta-allin for 4K.

i dont like his speed at which the chips went in there, but of course i am calling.
BB turns over junk, button turns over JJ for a flopped set of jacks, after he flat called preflop - very sneaky, he had me smashed

gutshot though, gimme a 10 i tell the dealer, and sure enough there it was :P.

I don't see the point in always pushing in a situation like that. You get a free check, and if the flop suits you then put it in and you'll probably be called post-flop anyway. If it's absolutely nothing, put it all-in the SB and if you happen to win that you have a few more hands to double up.

Saving money to make more money later is a perfectly valid strategy :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
