I was in a $10 tourney online, ive been playing super tight i think id seen a flop like 28%. Bout half ppl left blinds 200/400 im in BB i got bout 1700 left, so i need to make a move soon. I have [xad] [xah] , theres a raise from mid position, then an all in from the button i insta call the mid position thinks for a bit and calls.

Im up against [axc] [xks] and [7xs] [7xh]

flop comes [8x] [2xd] [jxc] turn [4xd]

then he rivers the miracle 1 outer [x7c]

i felt really bad i was on HUGE tilt yeh thats my latest bad beat.... enjoy

why was the 7 on the river a 1 outer, wasnt there 2 left in the deck. Statisticaaly he was more likely to hit his trips than you as he had 2 sevens left in the deck where you only had 1.

28% is tight but its not super tight, i think its about a normal % for tight play.

Super tight would probably be anything under 15%, and begining to be a little 2 tight as you wont be making your blind money back over time.

From memory i remember phil helmuth describing himself as a super tight player when he was playing at about 9%.

But the guys may have a different oppinion on this.

KK vs QQ vs JJ

Jack on river, i was holding KK.

Next game though, it was good to see favourite preflop winning, had aces about 3 times. Rode the wave of variance and got the dollars.

Loving this double or nothing games.
Just wish i was a little less spewy

I think you start to find over 30% is loose, 25-30 is average, 20-25 is Tight, and anything less than 15% is nitty tight.

I find i am running around 20-23% or if card dead around 17%. But the games i am playing call for a little bit of a strategy change.

I get a lot more uncontested pots, to winning at showdowns. usually 3-1 i continue bet a lot, and am not afraid to put my chips in on nothing if the board has a lot of scare cards.

Yeah but it was still good.

We were the bubble in a benny the cunt's house skittles game. Heath on the button, me short stacked and BB.

Heath makes a standard raise from the button, i look down at [ah][7h]

I think he is making a steal, and its probably not getting better that this as im short stack, so i jam it.

Heath thinks for a while and calls, turning [ad][9c] (suits unimportant)

So im a big favourite to bubble, even more so when one player says they folded a 7, and a card was exposed during the deal, also a 7.

So basically im screwed, until i flop the case 7 and cripple heath.

He hasn't talked to me since :D :D
