Ok what the hell do i do here...

3 handed cash game (some players had recently left the table). 50c/$1 blinds, im in the small blind with $52, BB has $40 and button has us both covered with around $70.

i get [kd][jh].

Button flats, as do i, but BB makes it $5. we both make the call.

Flop comes [ac][qc][tc]

What the hell do i do here? $15 in the pot already. Im pretty sure the raiser has a good ace or a big pair (possibly a set) which means im good against him, and making it very unlikely that he has a made flush.

The limp/call from the button also screams weakness too, but i don't want either drawing at a flush.

What would you have done here?

(think about what you would have done and ill post the result below in a spoiler)

Spoiler:
I shoved. possibly the few beers were talking here, but i wanted to make a set or two pair pay (that was my read on the original raiser) and didn't want anyone drawing at the flush.

BB thought for ages and said "your in front of me now but i just can't fold" and called. instantly i knew he had the [kc] and i was right, and it turned out he had [kc][ks].

However the button also snap called, now i was effing worried, and i should have been as he turned over [jc][8c]

Did i make the right move.

Folded pre flop.

I'd slightly over bet the pot myself, then hope i was disciplined enough to lay it down when they shove.

probably, but i don't mind seeing a flop 3 handed with KJ. I was considering raising actually instead of flatting in the first instance, but im rarely folding this hand 3 handed. Being out of position though, a fold here might have been the correct play, im just not good enough to do after 5 beers.

yeah rcon, i did consider betting $20 and seeing what happens, but that was close to half my stack, and if somebody shoved i think i woul have made the call anyway. so yeha i dunno.

I don't see what over betting the pot achieves.

Ok, I should probably go into more detail.

How much did everyone start with? You all seem pretty short.

I don't mind a call preflop. $15 in the pot on the flop, and with such small stacks behind, you have to bet this. If you check it could go around to a club turn, which you obv can't have. Opp will be more likely to check a club here rather than bet it, because of their stack size.

Bet/folding is just stupid - as is overbetting. Either bet $10-12 and shove to a raise, or open shove. If he has the flush, its a cooler. Could you really put someone on a club flush if you lead $12 and they raise to $40? It can't be two pair/AsKc/set?

Edit: Results change nothing.
Edit2: Wow what a hand. You can't let their holdings dismay you.

What are you hoping to achieve with the shove that a slight over bet won't achieve?
