not really a bad beat

Final 3, blinds were 5/10k (or maybe 10/20, moose, help me out here), i was big blind with about 31k, other two would've had about 50k or more each.

i'm dealt J/10, number 1 folds and small blind puts me all in so i call (already had 10 or 20k in from blinds)

SB turns over pocket 9s (he's called my all in twice during the night and i cleaned him up both times, so no doubt he was out for blood :D)

Flop comes over something crap, Jack comes out on the turn, 9 on the river, end of story.

I did get a pair of quality Armani shades though, kudos to NPL!

I also received a comment from the great one, Paul 'The Cougar' Emslie; "That was one of the greatest folds i've ever seen." a few hands earlier, which he said in a cool and calm manner, like he was some sensei, i loved it!

Re: the guy above that i beat twice with my all-ins, one of them was A6 off suit, went all in for about 7k, guy to my goes all in for 4k, and the other fella ended up calling straight away.

To my left turns over A8 and other guy turns over JQ suited.

6 comes on the flop, then nothing after that, beautiful!

a few hands later, i get pocket 8s and SB of 2k, i go all in for 15.5k, BB goes all in for about 7k, and the other guy ponders it for a long while, says he knows i've got something, but he's going to call anyway.

he turns over 56 suited, BB turns over pocket 7s.

6 came on the flop or turn, and that was that :D

he had the last laugh though, knocking me out on final table

Consistancy is the key!

Look at me... 1st place at the Palais... not a single win!

Haven't you read the rules?

You can't finish in the top 5 without winning - and still get in to the state championships.

Yes he is right Des, you must win one tournament to qualify for the top 5, have you won anywhere else?

we have two scenarios here:

1) the rules are broken
or
2) david and garth are b****rds :D

i'm thinking the latter ;)

Nah i suck at poker, so no wins for me.

Does that mean I can streak mid-tournament without the risk of being ejected? lol
