Hand vs benny the cunt at his cash game.

Postby AceLosesKing » Sun May 17, 2009 3:22 am

I'm gonna put in a few different options for multiple streets in bold. benny the cunt (or anyone), don't post results. At least not for a good week.

Blinds 10/20c. Preflop, I have about $28. benny the cunt has like $80. 6max table.

Positions are off but they don't matter. All anyone needs to know is that benny the cunt is to my direct left. It is a limped pot (with straddle, so like $2 pot), 4 players I think. Little hazy but I have the important details right.

Btw, I limped with [8h] [6c].

Flop: [8d] [6d] [4h].

I bet $1.70. benny the cunt thinks for a second and raises to $4.

What do you do here and why? If you're flatting what's your plan on the turn? If you're raising what are you doing if you get raised/shipped on?

I raised to $12 (18ish behind). benny the cunt announces all in.

Can you fold this?

Flat call flop, keep pot small, check to the agressor on the turn (assuming you're first to act, if I'm reading that correctly). Re-evauluate from there.

Not knowing how benny the cunt plays from a bar of soap, I would take every opportunity I could get to get a read. Top 2 here could spell danger danger.

So many options here. For some reason I'm thinking or [9d 7d] or a set of 4's for benny the cunt, based on the limited imfo here.

That said, your raise on the flop is not a bad one. You're just not folding now. Unless he has a set of 8's you are still live.

In a cashie I wouldn't fold here if I'm 40% stack committed with top 2, straight on the board and flush draw, 2 cards to come. He could have anything, pretty much all of it losing to me if I can jag the boat.

Now I have to wait a week to find the results? :( Can you PM me what happened? I don't like waiting.

I think: ah it's only $28 bucks.

I have four outs!

Double fist pump! Snap All IN!

And then I can watch benny the cunt's bottom set try and improve after I turn the boat, I could try and suck out on his flopped straight, or watch him fade all the outs he has for his flush/open ended str8 draw!

Or I could sit down dejectedly as he roles top set.

I won't tell you the result (i was sitting to AK's right and not in the hand obviously) but this was the longest tank i have ever seen.

Aaron was leaning on his hand, and because it was like 1am, i thought he had actually fallen asleep trying to make his decision. Was a great pot, very interesting stuff.

There were a few interesting pots actually, including when myself and Gaz both had Aces preflop.

The $5 omaha flips were also good - 4 people in, running the board 4 times, and the winning hand taking 1/4 of the pot after each run.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

To be honest that's exactly the way I thought about it to begin with too.
I play different depending on the stakes (yeah, i know, how wrong), but in a 10c/20c game I'll happily get my money in bad knowing I'm live.

But I figured that Aaron would be disappointed if I didn't at least try to put some thought in considering how in depth he goes on my hand histories. So if on my game (what little game I possess), I would actually play exactly as I mentioned before.

No matter how bad the voices inside my head tell me to snap-jam.

.

Maybe he did, and is just trying to cover for it now with this thread.

i would say in general i am fairly tight aggressive and generally a winning player, BUT then i give it all back because i have brain farts like leading 3 streets into a caller with air or check shoving on naked draws or calling an all in with JJ on a 1078 board when my read tells me a set but i just cant lay it down. so at the moment, its pure lack of discipline that hurts me.

having said that, i was very deep in this game (400BB+, 200 if you count straddle) , and most of the time we had straddle and sometimes double straddle going, so i was playing nearly every hand at this point in the night, especially in position.
