You're a Bunch of Factors

Let me preface this by saying the past 30 minutes, i'd be raising most posts, and taking them down pre-flop... Had brought my money up from $4.50 to this point taking some pots post-flop too. I was dominating the table (I feel).

So I called, on the basis I thought I could win the hand on the flop.

If I'd raised on the turn, would he have folded? Given the nuts flush draw, I think he would've stayed in.

I did put him on that hand, but thought, I'm seeing this anyway, in case he had [Ax Tc] or [Tc Tx].

Any hints, or is this an ETV moment?

as played, i would shove turn instead of check calling.

that way, if he has KK and does not put u on an ace or the flush, he will call.

first, if he is drawing to the K flush, you wanna make him pay for it. you let him play this waaay too cheaply on the turn.

secondly, if he has anything but a flush, and the fourth club comes on the river, it kills your action, so you are not gonna get any value.

check-shoving the turn still looks like u are drawing to the flush, so he is liable to look you up with the flush draw. the fact that he hit it in the end is irrelevant, he is only like 14% to hit that. but i think the mistake was in not shoving turn. i think that good aces (and maybe KK) are looking you up enough here to make it the right play

at .5/.10? He's never folding the nut flush draw.

edit - you were trying to extract maximum value at micro limits, and in doing so, it backfired (as it always used to seem to do).

Work out the pot at each step.

Preflop - 1.95. Give or take.

Flop - 4.15

Turn - 7.75

River - 22.85 Plus 1.10 for rake = 21.75

Look at your bets on each street.

Preflop Call 90c

Flop 1.10

Turn 1.80

River You bet 2.25 he reraised all in for $5+.

As pointed your turn is the mistake, you priced him in, and didn't give yourself enough in value. 3.00 to 4.50 and you could be taking the pot, but also giving him bad odds to call, and he is making the mistake.

As for the river, At that point, Shit happens.

Framing bets is important to getting value out of your hand as well as pricing them into call or getting them to over value a hand. He still might have called a solid turn bet thinking you were trying to scare away with an ace, but he has extra outs for the one card flush.

Remember you want to make less mistakes than your opponent.

Hand converter would be AWESOME. It definitely makes for reading hands easier, I would love to know the pot size on the turn (thankyou for doing it for me Brett).

Preflop is fine if you know your opponent. I like that you're leading on the flop, as a lot of clubs will call you, worse than the Kc. I've been called down so many times here by as low as the 7c.

As mentioned, turn is where you went wrong. If you're checking, then you should definitely be check/raising, not check/calling. I would probably lead again on the turn, and if he flats shove any river, if he raises however, get it in on the turn.

He's never folding that turn by the way.

River, yeah that sucks. The only other thing I can think of is c/c river, but even then you want to value bet your hand.
