Most Possible Outs

Postby bennymacca » Wed Jul 15, 2009 5:13 pm

that hand i posted in the wsop thread about a guy having 20 outs with the river to come got me thinking what the maximum is, and whether you are in front if thats the case

i think the maximum is 25 outs :P

hero [qh] [jh]
guy [2s] [2c]

board [10h 9h 9c] [7c]

that makes 3xT, 3xQ, 3xJ, 2x7, 8xhearts (-2h), 3x8, 3xK

is it possible to have any more than that? i cant think of a scenario

i just ran the above scenario, you are 52.27 to win, even though you haven't hit a thing! i find that pretty cool, even with just 1 card to come.

25 is correct, from my understanding.

what about in omaha?

its probably something like a wrap + oesfd + pair against a better pair or something

my head is starting to hurt now.

can anyone come up with a scenario where you are behind but have the max possible outs?

Gimme some time to work out possible omaha scenarios.

For holdem, though, I can think of times where all 44 remaining cards will give you either the win or a split.

the only scenarios i can think of that chop are ones that add to the villains outs.
