Re: Best hand from the 888pl Grand Final weekend
we're probably going too hear a few of these,
but I was a K of spades away from making a royal when I had just under 5k left on the 2nd last blind level of day 1
got dealt [9s][qs] of course I went all-in after thinking about for a whole 5 seconds!
got one caller, every one else folds he rolls [ad]
flop comes out with [as] (thought my tourny was over at this point), then out comes [ts] [js], cant remember the turn and river cards but I think they where pretty low.

I saw some chick, raise to a check after the nothing flop to something like 400k, the dude she was playing tanked for ages then shoved the rest of his chips. She doesn't take too long to call, he reveals 2 pair, she turns over an open ended straight draw, she spikes a 6 on the turn for the straight and player B doesn't recover.
Not sure how she did after winning that hand though, I think I changed channels.

I cant remember alot of the action but i do remember it was with our second chip leader at the time, Nicole's partner and also a third person whom i did not know. I was dealing the table at the time, and by the turn the board read [3s Kh 10d Js]. By now there was a three way all in, for almost 300k. 2nd chip leader showed [Ks Kd] for top set, unkown [Kc Jh] for top two, and Nicoles partner showed [Ac Qs] for broadway. Poker was the winner for this hand as the river dropped the [3h] giving kings full second nuts and shipping a monster.
That was prolly the biggest hand ive dealt for a while and a memorable one for the weekend....

I remember that one Glyn. Huge hand indeed. But when the cards were turned over fopr some reason I knew a 3 was coming. I spoke to David and he said he thought the same thing too.
On a sidenote - Glyn is clearly the best dealer going around. I don't think you made any mistakes in your first session?

Caleb: I like how everyone was all "lol is that all" when I rolled my AKQ7. I am the first to admit I know nothing about Omaha, but I knew that while my hand is marginal for an all in pre situation, vs your range, I'm ahead
+1 on Glyn is an excellent dealer. Flawless dealing on the feature table. A lot better than the guy that worked on the 2nd session - Nick, I think it was.

Re: Best hand from the 888pl Grand Final weekend
My best hand from the weekend was the reason i cashed and really it wasnt anything to do with me, and thats what made it great.
blinds were 3000/6000 or there abouts i was big blind with 33k and looking to double quick.
I look down at Pocket queens,UTG +1 raises to 30k, and was called by michell collins in mid positon, folds to me and i make my moster re raise of 33k expecting folds
.
both players call and i am sitting on a 99k (+ blinds and antes) locked pot.
flop comes 4 6 9 rainbow ( cards may or may not be entirely correct) and our UTG +1 fires 50k into a dry side pot.
Michell tanks then folds, I ask the bloke exaactly how big his pockets are while i roll my queens and he smiles and rolls pocket ducks
.
At this point Michell as you would expect isnt all that impressed and decalres she folded ace queen
low and behold the next card was an ace, river was nothing and i trippled up.
Unforturnaly for michell this was the catalyst for her demise and was gone soon after and i ground my way into the cash
I cant rememer the amount of times i have unsucsfully tried to explain to a player, the benifits of not firing into a dry side pot in tourney play,
but i sware i could have kissed this bloke
