villain is seems fairly standard, if not a little passive on the flop. but not that passive, just doesn't go barreling stupidly. i called on the flop instead of 4betting because he snap folded to me 2 previous 4bets.
what is your action here? its a pretty horrible board. do we call for pot control and hope the draws miss (we have blockers to the straight draw)
can we still raise for value on this board?
Grabbed by
Holdem ManagerNL Holdem $0.50(BB) Replayer
Villain ($68.90)
Hero ($60)
Dealt to Hero [kh] [kc]
Hero raises to $1.50, Villain raises to $4.50, Hero calls $3FLOP ($9) [9s] [td] [js]
Villain bets $5, Hero ???

thought i would add that villain had 3bet pretty light a few times - wound up with T8o a couple of times. but nothing crazy. hence why i didn't 4bet tho

That is such an ugly board!
Villain has snap folded to your four bets? So he is three betting light?
I think with the above piece of info I raise on this board. His half pot bet is either a c bet or a bet to induce a spew.
In your shoes benny the cunt I probably take a gamble and re pop to $13 - $16.50. I am definitely raising for value here. I am pretty sure I am beating a lot of his three bet range except for JJ.
Any action he takes on the flop after my raise scares me. He flats he is either drawing or slow plays a monster. He raises he is either on a monster draw or possibly has the nuts or set.
Either way I am looking to ship in the rest of my stack on a brick turn.

Me and benny the cunt were talking about this for ages, but i think that all the hands that beat us (sets and made straights) would check/raise here on this flop, especially against a reasonably aggressive player like benny the cunt. The flop lead makes me thing he has pair/draw or combo draw type hands, or maybe QQ/AJ.
I think we raise here (my amount was $16.50), fold to a flop shove, but if he flats we re-evaluate the turn. a blank and im getting it in.
EDIT: i got no clue now. folding is bad, calling is bad and shoving is bad. I spazzshove a lot here, and im rarely good. (at least i know its a spazz shove now

)

Ship it in and pray for a queen!
LOL.
Now that's an interesting move. I have no idea what sort of hand he is putting you on, but you flatted his three bet pre flop. So villains range for you is 66 - JJ, ATs+, AJo+.
I have a feeling villain feels his hand is good here against your possible opening range, but also has re draws to straights or flushes. AA is also a consideration. If he is 3 betting light pre flop then that generally translates into aggressive post flop play.
I don't like his three bet size on the flop. A min re raise on that flop is pretty scary like he is trying to induce a spew from hero.
As I sit here replaying it in my head, everything he is doing is aimed at inducing you to spew your stack off. Half pot on the flop, min re raise. So obviously he feels that his hand is strong or stronger than yours. So does villain understand hand strengths? Is he value betting QJ because has top pair and is up and down? Has he hit top set and is trying to induce value from what he believes is AK - AQ?
I am finding it very hard to fold here benny the cunt. But I think fold is the right call unless you are willing to gamble for stacks; all the chips are going in if you proceed past this point.
The way I am running I stack off here. He rolls QJ. K on the river after someone states that they folded KJ.
Yeah the sensible thing to do is fold, but god you beat so much of his range if he is a non thinking player.

An agro player will lead at that flop with his entire 3 bet range. He is not checking any made straights or sets here. He leads the action and hopes he induces a shove.
