we had a game at my mates house on sat night and we had an arguement over a ruling, so please help if you can!
basically what happened was there was an ace high flush (I think board ran out something like this (A J 8 4 6) (5 spades) on the board.
2 players go all in, one has the King spades, the other the Q spades.
What is the result? I said it's split pot, (as the ace on the board counterfieted the K & Q), but others said the player with King won the pot as it was the next highest card in the sequence.
for what it's worth we ended up making a split pot, but I would like to know for future games.
Cheers
Flush rule?

See Muzz's post for answer but just to clarify with a board reading
(A J 8 4 6) the Ks wins as his best 5 card hand reads A K J 8 6 compared to A Q J 8 6.

Re: Flush rule?
Oh and just add a little extra shadz, the only way that pot could have been a split was, would be if no players still in the hand held a Sapde. Then the best 5 card hand would have been on the board.
Hope that helps.
