Blinds 500/1000 antes 100??( or there abouts)

Folds to me in UTG+4

Me look down at [8h][8s] raise to 3500

Folds to SB and BB who both call

Flop [5h][6h][7s]

SB + BB check

I bet out 12500

SB+BB call

Turn [2d]

SB+BB check

I shove for 35000

and now wait for it....... SB+BB call? WTF SB is all in BB gets about 9000 back

SB hand [Kh][10h] BB hand [Ah][Qh]

River [Ad]

And im busto. FML

I'm surprised BB didn't check raise the flop TBH

Dayrl is it? or Dante? No problem letting go, just got around to posting it is all.

And yes Aaron it is a bit of that.

If he check raised flop I still dont think I could have got away from it.

really? flopped straight possible, and I would hardly have been surprised to run into a set there either.

I'm with Scott tho, BB should have been c/r there, that is what you use a big stack and a wet board for - where you're drawing to the nuts.

Yeah, being c/r in that spot is eww.

Flopped straight was possible, but unlikely in my mind.

Flopped set did occur to me but again seemed unlikely given the turn check.

Are you saying the turn shove was a bad play rcon?

That wasn't the point of my earlier post, which was directed at your indication you wouldn't be willing to lay down an over pair (of 8s) on a 657hh board. I think that is too loose.

But on the turn, you're betting 35k in to 3500+3500+3500+900+11500x3=45900 knowing the other two hands have to be drawing to something, so if one calls, they're both calling. At which point, you're in terrible shape :-(

If you were playing this hand against 1 opponent, I can see the rational, but I don't think you're good often enough to warrant the push on the turn, particularly 9 handed.

edit: As Ben says, there is nothing wrong with what you did, I'm just not sure I'd play it that way myself.
