16/15 over 383. Values top pair a ton. Have never seen him overshove on the turn like this.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB ($16.62)
Hero (BB) ($18.86)
UTG ($10.36)
MP ($9.44)
Button ($11.54)

Preflop: Hero is BB with QImage, 8Image
2 folds, Button bets $0.35, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.40, Button calls $1.05

Flop: ($2.85) QImage, 6Image, 7Image (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $1.75, Hero calls $1.75

Turn: ($6.35) 2Image (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $8.39 (All-In), Hero calls $8.39

What do we think?

Why Q8? You reckon he is making a play on the button with a pretty wide range so you re-pop it from the BB?

I think you have to raise or fold his flop bet. Why did you call, what was the plan? I fold when he all-ins. Prob a Q with a better kicker. QK/QJ/Q10

16/15 over 383 seems pretty solid.

Yeah, he opens the button a ton.

Plan was to c/r the turn AI.

I think a turn shove is even easier to call tbh.

edit: tiny sample, stats aren't indicative of his playing style.

think about what we were talking about the other day aaron.

we were talking about this very spot, and whether it is better to overshove the turn or half pot turn and put it in on the river, when you have a strong value hand.

recently i have been thinking about this, and especially on boards where there is a flush draw, overshoving turn works a TON of the time. i do it a lot with hands like sets or overpairs, and the flush draw calls down a ton. even top pair type hands call a lot because they think you are full of it and are doing it with the flush draw yourself.

do you think this guy is capable of doing this? or is he doing it himself with the flush draw.

Eeeeekkkkk.

I fold and slap my own wrist for 3 betting with Q 8 !

Hmmmmm seriously tho, it is a tough spot.

More and more i see people do this with massive hands, it makes it had to sort the bluffs from the nuts.

I think from his view it looks like you could have AK or an under pair to the Q (or any missed connecter). Your check/call looks like you want to peel off one more card & the turn check looks like you have still not improved & a big bet will get you off it.

Opps, i just think i talked myself into a call here. But what does he have to justify this push ?

Flush draw, possibly with 7 h ?? Ax that he reasons is good if you have missed??

hmmmmmmm

I still lean to the fold (because of the confusion) but I don't hate the call.

65o, 5 river :(

My read was a weaker pair, I literally snapped this off.
