Playing a home game last night
Blinds 25c/50c
Stacks
SB $46 (Very LAG)
Cutoff(me) $110 (thought i had a tight image)
Dealt QQ
Preflop
Folded around to me and make it $3 to play
Called from the small blind
Flop - K 9 2 rainbow
SB checks
I bet $5.75
SB calls
Thoughts - i thought the sb was calling on a straight draw, at best playing a 9 10
Turn - 9
SB checks
I fired $15
SB tank jams for another $23
Whats your play here? knowing his range is basically any 2 cards preflop.
Home cash game tough decision

Easy decision... It's Queen's ...FOLD
What makes you think he has 10 9 after calling 6xBB pre and 1/2 pot on flop?

You say he plays any 2 cards. Then you put him on a specific hand like T9.
If he plays any 2 aggro like that, then call.
Unless you have any specific reads of course.

Re: Home cash game tough decision
i would check back the turn and give the villain a chance to bluff the river.
if you check the turn, then the river is only going to cost you $15 if he has the 9 or a K and fires it.
good spot to pot control. you firing the second barrel polarises the villain's range, because he never does this with JJ, its either complete air or a monster and now its expensive to find out

What benny the cunt said.
I'd also make it smaller preflop.
As played, fold.

Re: Home cash game tough decision
I was going to fold, but got him talking about why he was calling and slipped he was calling any raise with any ace.
This made me think, he would 3 bet AK, probably smooth A-9 and A-2. I thought he would be likely to lead the flop with the 9 and narrowed it down to the most likely A-2
Made the call and low an behold he only had pocket 3's
Was so confused at this point

yeah i think this is the best reason why checking behind and calling most rivers is a better option.
you get to keep villain's range wide, he will probably bet his whole range on the river, and its a very easy decision
