tournament somewhere that wasn't the NPL (edited by Pete)...

In #2, with $1320 in chips. Dealt [ah] [10c] (blinds 25/50), I call.

#3 raises all in for $615
#4 calls (has $1885 to start)
All fold, I call.

Flop [10h] [5c] [3c]

I have been killed by flushes all night, so I go all-in for my remaining $705.. (I was having a bad night with the cards)

#4 calls with [ks] [9s]

Turn [9h]

River [kc]

#4 takes the $3300 pot.

Now, would you call $705 with K9, to leave yourself $560 odd???

Why didn't I go to Parafield Flying Club instead?

Hey Bacon. You shoulda gone to the Flying Club M8. Flight over northern districts was up for grabs tonite. I hit good cards and bet and they fold. Hit bad cards and bet and they call or raise......grrrrrr. Finished on the bubble and not happy, Bacon, not happy.

Limping with A10 and then smooth calling the more than 10x raise ... to be out of position post flop ... interesting ;)

haha i know that monday night tourney your talking about.... personally i hate all leagues besides npl... i only play there so i can get another final ticket...
i had someone raising all in every hand.... i was playing tight so naturally i folded... until i got my pocket kings.... player raises all in on cue... i call.... all others fold.... he turns over pocket tens...
hits a ten on the flop... and im outta there....

NPPL(Never Play Properly League)
APL(Amateur Poker League)
NPL(Nearly Pro League) :D

just for next time ACE TEN EARLY POSITION (at the very least marginal cards and REALLY BAD POSITION)
either:
raise if first to enter the pot(to see where ur at) or
smooth call and then if someone makes a huge raise as in your case(and especially if up against two players )THROW THEM AWAY !!!!!!!
Also u said u had been done by flushes ALL NIGHT
from ur description blinds were only 25/50
or did u mean at another game either way no need to risk so much of your stack so early in the tournament.
if i were playing your hand,pre-flop i would have been worried that with one all-in and a caller one of them had high pocket pairs. The fact that he didnt is not the point.
In answer to ur ? though i wouldn't have called the 700 with k9
please dont take this the wrong way as im just giving u some things to think about but, it is far easier to say how badly ur opponent played than to stand back and look at how u could have played it differently.
"live and learn" my mum used to say
may the poker god's forgive u when u return to PG flying club

why would u call the pre-flop raise? not a bad beat more poor play by you, ace/10 off isnt a fantastic hand
