I was playing the 888pl Nightly PLO, blinds are 15/30, 6 handed, i am bb on about 2950 in chips, i am dealt qq and 2 rags. 1 caller for blind, button raises to 135 sb folds, i call other player calls, flop rag rag q (basically a rainbow), i bet 315 both players call, turn card q, i bet 660 both players fold, i'm happy with how i played it, but interested with how others might have????

to be honest, i would be folding preflop with QQXX unless you were double suited or unless they were connected. i.e QQJ9 double suited is a million times better than QQ72 rainbow.

on the flop, on a dry board like that, you aren't going to get much value from anything except lower sets, so if they dont have that well you cant do much about it. so after that i think you played it fine but i would most probably be folding preflop.

depending on who it was.... you could have checked raised. (unlikely unless they had AAxx or KKxx)

But with the passive nature of the PLO ATM, your better off just betting out when you hit a set..

I do agree with Ben in folding that type of hand to a raise, your kinda in a bad position if you dont hit your set. Most of the time you can call a raise or limp in from the button/cuttoff if you think they are just raising with a pocketXX hand

Here is a tip for all you PLO beginners, treat your PLO hand as if it is four different NLHE hands.

I.E. AAKQ would look like AA, AK, AQ, KQ
QQ74 would look like QQ, Q7, Q4, 74

Always measure your hand strength by your weakest hand. If your weakest hand is a complete dud then it's a direct fold out.

Would've folded pre.
Even the "rag rag" is unsafe with top set.

this. obviously its more complex than that in general but this is great for working out a general idea of starting hands, and will get you up to speed very quickly.
