Graham, what time do you want online games to start? So that you can play as a worker, but still make an venue game???
As much as it will annoy the onliners, there is too many DT points coming from AK & MM, thus Garths decision is correct to can them, if either game fits in with your lifestyle choices, you can play either or both every day setting aside 1 evening or Sat/Sun arvo to play a live venue to get the required number of away games to qualify for DT and GF.
There is no good time for someone who holds a regular job....AK starts too early, MM end too late, I'm basically over trying for DT as it is mission impossible for a working/regional player, and thats no ones fault except mine for living in the bush and having a job, next year things may change as I may be transfered somewhere else and in five years less 4 days I'm looking at retirement, then its not an issue (lol).
And for the record I did complain about the lack of Primetime games but now I am a strong advocate of live venue games, I still play online but not with the same passion or dedication, before I played most weekend games online now I dont bother, I prefer to play live.
