Re: Rule Verdict
Unfortunately rules are rules unfair as it may seem. I have been in this situation before in a casino tournament. My cards dealt to me trow a chip on it to protect it. Once it came back to me i find three cards. Dealer apologizes but specifies that its my hand and its still my responsibility to ensure my hand is good. So there was my hand dead and my big blind gone. Its still important to check you have recieved only 2 cards before "substantial action" has occured

Re: Rule Verdict
fair enough, you are right, pretty easy to check that you have two, even if you dont wanna look at them.

Re: Rule Verdict
Just a quick note guys and gals, I've moved this particular topic into the correct section which in this case is 'Your NPL'.
For questions you wish to ask of the NPL itself, put it in the correct section. They have descriptions saying what they are for, it's really not difficult. Getting cranky!

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Rule Verdict
losers
BTW I agree with the rules. I will always check the number of cards, when I put them under the card guard I am using that day.

Re: Rule Verdict
it's not unfair shit happens, i have had it happen to me before when i have had a gd pocket pair and only to work out i have 3 cards after i have rasied. after i worked out i had 3 cards i just folded.
rules are allways to fair, there are allways rules u r going to like and dislike. u will just have 2 build a bridge and walk over it.

Re: Rule Verdict
We had something similar but little different.
One player on our table was betting because he saw 2 cards in his hand and betted according to this.
He went all in, the other player called and he turned his cards over and it wasn't until he fanned them out he found he had 3 cards, not 2.
Unfortunately because the cards get so old and grubby, at times they tend to stick together. The poor thing had the winning hand with the cards he thought he had, rather than the cards he did have.
I can't remember the outcome because it happened 3 weeks ago and I tend to struggle to remember 2 hours ago at times.
I guess the only thing we can do as players is make sure we check our cards before play commences, even if it means fanning them out.
