the other night last 2 tables 3 players in the hand the flop comes down 878, i have pushed all in when a player mumbles something and reaches into the muck and pulls out his mucked cards, I challenge the player whos response you dont know what I had.

But I consider he had 7 8 in his mucked had which gave a massive tell to the remaining player in the hand which compromised my all in bluff.

The end result end game for gundog.

At the time I felt like withdrawing my chips from the pot and calling it a dead hand.

What is the correct solution when this occurs.

um... wtf is he doing in the muck?

the correct response is "have a seat on the sidelines mister".
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

what irks me with a lot of these questions are...

why the hell arent you asking the TD at the time, instead of here after the fact?

Well, yeah. But his hands were already in the muck, and he had revealed the contents of his hand to other players on the table before anyone could say anything.

What gundog is asking, THEN, what is the protocol?

Vent begin.....

You know what annoys the absolute buggery out of me?

Asking a TD a question and there are a few loud mouths at the table that will not allow them to answer the question fully.

The amount of times I have said to them to shut up so I can hear is incredible, not to mention I look like a duffer because I still need to get things clarified by them again after because these tosspots still won't let them get a word in.

ARRGGHHHHH!!!!

Sometimes I think the only way around it is to have all rules printed up and in a book so they can just point and walk away.

Vent over....

Correct with all due respect Metro TD's have a better grasp of the rules than some country TD's no dissrespect intended, its the the amount of games TD and more players that give the metro TD's the better experiance.

I feel if I had pulled my chips and declared the hand dead as result of illegal play by others my decision could hsve been wrong, so I played on.

I think that is the point gundog - you need to call the TD over, whist the hand is still in play. Otherwise your TD's are never going to have a chance to get it right :D

In this scenario,

I would sit the player going through the muck out for a full blind level.

I would make you retract your action, expose the hole cards of the player who went through the muck.

Action can continue as normal.

I read your post Gundog, nothing here states that you asked the TD anything. If you don't like something that is happening then you have to ask the TD.

I had a very similar experience to Gundog at the same venue on the same night not some 20 minutes later

less than 2 tables

player makes an agressive bet everybody folds and the player takes the pot

one of the folding players asks what he had and he refused to answer
so the folding player reached into the muck and looked at the winning hand before quickly putting back into the muck and shuffling it to hide the cards

I took serious exception :x :x to this and confronted the player
only to be told that it didnt realy matter and i should mind my own buisness

at which point i informed the td of the action

the td warned both the tables not to check the muck and left it at that

im interested to hear your thoughts guys
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.
