Online Champs Event 2 not listed

I'm purely guessing here, but it's likely 888 themselves are at fault and not 888PL.

Dave, what made you think Event 2 was Friday night? There's been absolutely nothing to suggest that.

I tried ringing Garth earlier, and sent him a txt as well.


It's likely he's already on the phone ripping someone a new one. Just have to wait and see before we get too shirty.

I posted yesterday arvo that event 2 (shortanded $5.50) was appearing in the lobby as a Friday night game. I assume 888 mucked this up.

All 888PL website info has consistently listed Event 2 as being this morning.
I even got on here this morning and checked the announcements section to see if any changes had been listed, nothing there either.

I can understand how people could be upset by this, though.

There was discussion on the forum yesterday regarding this event showing up in the 888 lobby for Friday night. I registered for it on Tuesday, and it was listed as 30th October then, too.

yeah as far as i know, it has always been listed in teh lobby as being on the friday.

i understand how people would be annoyed by this

I can't help but ask the question then, if it has been listed incorrectly - how has this not been noticed by 888PL ?

If it *was* supposed to be on the Friday, how is the 888PL website still showing the wrong info after being updated on Thursday?

If it was indeed supposed to be this morning, again - how has this not been noticed by 888PL?

I was really looking forward to that event, 6 handed is a lot of fun. I've planned my weekend based on the info provided, made sure to keep checking the info because we all know things can change for whatever reason (and that's fine), but have woken up to find we've been screwed over.

I love 888PL to bits, but that's just nowhere near good enough, and I'm sure it falls short of their own high standards.

At the moment I haven't received an answer from 888 on what is going on or what has occurred.

Bacon PM'd me yesterday telling me that event 2 was on Friday night. I replied with a few swear words.

I am having many issues with 888 and the online tournaments and follow up right now, and it is extremely dissatisfying to say the least.

I think the issue with this one was the translation to GMT in the tournament request report, but I will check this out.

From now on I guess date and time has to be added to my checklist for new tournament uploads. I hate to think I have to double check everything.

I am thinking we might post an additional event next weekend and make it Event 6.

Would also suggest that people check tournament dates in the actual software lobby as that is where they run from, so will be accurate. These tournaments (and starting times/dates) have been listed there for weeks.....

i 2 am a little miffed.
Found event 1 was capped when attempting to register 1/2 hrs prior to startime
thks to Tristans 'live updating' on event one i was able to review acheivements of fellow forumers. Missed event two due to confusion reigning .congrats to AK on the addition to his jewellery collection the 'virtual felt' seems to b his Domain.
