For Clarification:

I order to qualify for any of the 888PL Finals Series in 2010 players MUST play a minimum of 10 Away (in venue) games to complete qualification for any finals event.

This means even if you win a Grand Final seat in a Re-buy event or satellite you cannot take part in that Grand Final until you meet this criteria. The seat will be held over until the next Grand Final until you complete the qualification criteria.

I hope that clears it up for you!!!

Yeah it really doesn't.

You've just copied what I already copied from the 888Pl website, and it's clear as mud unless you actually do mean must have played 10 away games, in total, ever.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Or it could just mean play 10 away games before any final you have qualified for. Makes perfect sense to me.

Uhh, no it doesn't. That's an implication.

Its reads exactly how Pete is describing it.

Interesting.

I asked a few ppl at the GF (players, not staff) if they knew and they all said "good point, haven't got a clue".

Someone else said earlier they got a reply from yourself saying it was per season.

Obviously, it's not as clear as maybe you're assuming it is.

Just so you're aware, I don't really give a toss if it is per season or whatever, that just isn't the issue here. But I'm sure as <insert a sure thing here> not going to just assume it's any of the 3 scenarios we've already mentioned, given recent history of putting out incorrect and/or conflicting information. Quite frankly, I just don't trust you guys enough any more to tell me the right thing.

That's not a reflection on the services you offer (it's clear for all to see that your product is very good), only on the information provided relating to those services which, at the moment, is absolutely terrible.

So, just to make sure what you have said is actually how it is, and nobody will be confused later on....

Between when the 888PL started, and prior to the start of the current season, player A has already played 10 away games.

Going by what you have just re-iterated, they've already met the qualification for entry into the next final(s) and need not play any more away games.

Is that actually what you mean Garth?

Show me.

It does not say "10 away games in 2010," nor does it say before any finals series. To qualify for the 2010 888pl Finals series, players have to do A. A being. play 10 888pl Away games. There's no clarification on when/how that needs to be achieved.

For the record, this:

I should probably add...

I realise I'm giving you a hard time on this, and I'm sure you're pissed at me for it (and I would be at me too), but I'm also VERY sure you don't want hassles such as "hey I played 10 games and that's exactly what you told me to do" just before the next GF when ppl might be incorrectly thinking they have done enough to qual for their ticket.

A little pain now, to save much more later on, if you will.

And yet if I stipulate 10 away games per season then I will have players completely up in arms saying well really that's 20 games I have to play between two seasons. I am not going to stipulate 10 games per season, when the Grand Final is bi annually.

It's quite simple guys, I am not laying it down for you and spelling it out because you're been lawyered. It's been kept ambiguous for that very reason. I just want to see player continue to participate in venue.

It's quite simple - play 10 away games and you have qualified for the Grand Final. If you want me to I can start stipulating date thresholds such as; 10 games must be played in the 12 weeks prior to the 888PL GF you are participating in but it really is pointless and would be confusing to the majority.

It is simply a rule to ensure that players continue to participate in venue and that the event is only open to 888PL members.

Out of the 223 qualifiers we had participate on Sunday only 4 had not met the required games in the seasonal time frame, and of those four 3 has already played 6 away games this season to make up for it.

So here it is: continue to play in venue on a semi regular basis, support the venues that support this league and there won't be any problems.

Ok I've thought it through.

We will change the stipulation to 10 games per season to qualify for any upcoming finals.

So if you qualify for the GF that must mean 20 games split over the two seasons.

I'll get it all changed on Monday.
